Logansport Post 60 (10-7) defeated Lafayette Post 11 6-2 in a lightning-shortened six innings at Logansport High School in American Legion baseball action Tuesday.

Lafayette jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning, only to see Logansport score four runs in the bottom of the first with the main hit coming from Kyle Jordan’s two-out two run single.

Post 60 would later score a run in each the fifth and sixth innings.

Peru’s Kyle Marburger was the winning pitcher. Marburger (2-1) allowed two runs on five hits, while fanning nine in six innings.

Logansport plays in the Lafayette Invitational Tournament starting on Friday with a game against Remington at Lafayette Faith Christian High School at 1:30 p.m., and a second game at Loeb Stadium against Lafayette Post 11 at 6:30 p.m.

Post 60 also play Saturday at Loeb Stadium against Richmond and Valparsaiso.
