Some other rides he has been in this summer include the Bike Ride Across Georgia (BRAG) and the Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI).
Kerwin was unavailable for comment Wednesday as he was riding his bicycle to Winamac.
When he leaves Saturday morning, anyone wanting to ride with him going South is welcome.
”He’s going to leave for Florida and ride the trail, which is convenient,” Aspach said. “Some people could ride south on the trail however far they like.”
The tentative schedule is to meet around 8 a.m. Saturday at the town park main pavilion and leave around 8:45 a.m. The entire trail is about 22 miles, Anspach said.
