KOKOMO — Foul play is not suspected in the death of a Bunker Hill man found at the Kokomo trash transfer station on North Davis Road.
Elvin Miracle was found by a worker early Thursday at the Wabash Refuse Station.
The investigation revealed an intoxicated Miracle may have climbed in a trash container to get out of the weather and may have fallen asleep.
Howard County Coroner Jay Price said Miracle died of compression asphyxiation possibly from being crushed by the trash truck’s compactor. Ethanol intoxication was listed as a secondary cause of death.
“It’s just one of those unfortunate accidents,” Price said.
