Monticello pair arrested on burglary charges

Buffalo house suffers midnight break-in attempt.

---- — BUFFALO — White County sheriff’s deputies arrested two adults and questioned a juvenile after a reported break-in late Wednesday.

A homeowner in the 300 block of South East Street called deputies to his house about 11:46 p.m. Wednesday to report an unknown person had attempted to enter the house through a window, but had fled.

Deputies checked the area and found a car being operated by Terra Baughman, 21, Monticello. Deputies with assistance from Monticello police also met Robert German II, 21, Monticello, and a male juvenile from Monticello, walking along Ind. 39 near Buffalo.

Police questioned the three and arrested German on a class B felony charge of attempted burglary. Baughman was also arrested on a class B felony charge of aiding in an attempted burglary. The juvenile was released to his parent and information on his case will be forwarded to the White County Juvenile Probation Department, a press release from the White County sheriff’s office states.

Bond for German and Baughman is set at $20,000 each. They are being held at the White County Jail.
