Community Day set in Burnettsville

BURNETTSVILLE — The town is having Community Day on Sept. 28. There will be a corn hole tournament with registration at 9 a.m. Cost for a team is $20. White County Sheriff's Department will have a K-9 demonstration at 11 a.m. at the stage.

There will also be a volunteer fire department breakfast, BeeBumble 5k-10k run/walk, "Ron's famous ham and beans," community food booth, flea market booths, bounce houses, vendor booths, kid's games, cake walk, car show, fish fry parade and raffle.

There will be live music from 4 to 6 p.m. with Brandt Carmichael and a talent show at 7 p.m. For more information, contact Tiffiny Crowell at 574-297-1668.

Chicken noodle dinner set for Oct. 2 in Walton

WALTON — Walton American Legion Post 418 will have its chicken-noodle dinner from 11 a.m. until the food is gone Wednesday, Oct. 2.

The menu includes chicken noodles, mashed potatoes, meatloaf, beets, green beans, stewed tomatoes, gravy, coffee, iced tea, pie and other desserts. Cost depends on what you order. Carry-outs are available, and ll are welcome.

Pork chop dinner coming to Methodist church

First United Methodist Church is having a pork chop dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the church, 800 E. Broadway. All tickets are $8 per person which includes charcoal-grilled pork chop, baked potato, green beans, roll, dessert and drink.

Eat in or carry-out with curbside service available on Broadway. Tickets are available at the door, and it's open to the public. Proceeds will benefit the church's general projects.

Get fish or chicken at Oct. 5 fundraiser

Grass Creek Lions is having an all-you-can-eat Fish and Chicken Supper from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at Grass Creek Fire Station, on Ind. 17 in Grass Creek.

Tickets are $9 for adults and $4 children 6 to 12, children under 6 eat for free. Dessert included with meal and carry-outs available.

Help support boys golf team at scramble

End of the Year Scramble with tee time starting at 10 a.m. Oct. 5 at Dykeman Golf Course.

With four-man A, B, C, D Scramble pick your own teams. Team cost is $60 team entry-fee plus green fees and carts, also $20 hole sponsor. Registration starts at 9 a.m. the scramble starts at 10 a.m.

There will be first through third prizes, longest drive and closest to the pin prizes. All proceeds benefit the Logansport boys golf team.

Spend the day enjoying Camden events

CAMDEN — Camden Preservation Society is hosting Camden-Jackson Township firefighter's pancake and sausage breakfast from 6 to 11 a.m. Oct. 5 at the Community Building, Camden.

Camden Auto Company Building is celebrating its 100-year anniversary with an open house, including refreshmentS from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will also be a free car show in the Camden Baptist Church parking lot.
