Crews from Carroll-White REMC restored electric service by 4 p.m to most of the 500 members from Deer Creek east along Ind. 29 to Galveston who had lost power after Sunday's storm.
A few homes remained without power and were expected to have it back by late Tuesday or early this morning, according to a release from Carroll-White REMC. Crews were still working to put up poles in the Badger Grove area, as well.
The Indiana Department of Homeland Security is asking that individuals that had damages from Sunday's storms report their damages by accessing the department's online reporting site: https://myoracle.in.gov/hs/damage/pa-user.do.
They may also go to the IDHS website at www.in.gov/dhs under "Featured Topics," then click on "Report Damage from Severe Weather-November 17."
Individuals will be asked to provide their name, address, phone number and type of damage the property sustained. Losses can include structural damage to homes and loss of personal property. For questions, contact the Cass County EMA office at 574-722-2484 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
