A suspicious vehicle was reported on 900 West at 250 North in Cass County at 1:30 a.m. Sunday. The vehicle was described as a diesel pickup truck which was causing damage to the roadway and possibility driving through fields at that location, a press release stated.
Cass County Sheriff Deputies responded to the area and Deputy John O’Connor observed a pickup truck matching that description near US 24 and 400 West. O’Connor turned around and made a traffic stop near 1731 West Market Street, a press release said.
O’Connor identified the driver as Garrett Quaglio and noticed the occupants were nervous and appeared to be intoxicated on either alcohol or drugs, a press release said. The canine alerted on the vehicle and after a search, synthetic marijuana, hydrocodone pills and heroin were located, the press release said.
Quaglio was booked into the Cass County jail on drug charges and bond was set at $10,000 cash/$50,000 surety.
