Two people were killed and two others injured Saturday afternoon in a crash in White County.
The victims are identified as Dakota Coffin, 18, of Reynolds, and Kandi Haygood, 21, of Idaville.
Coffin was driving, and Haygood was riding in the front passenger seat, according to White County Sheriff Patrick Shafer. The collision was reported just after 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
Investigators said Coffin was headed south on 300 East in White County, and drove into the intersection at Ind. 18 where his car was hit by a truck traveling east on Ind. 18.
The White County coroner pronounced Coffin and Haygood dead at the scene, Shafer said.
Two occupants in the truck were taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital East with non-life-threatening injuries, Shafer said. Their names were not released by police.
Shafer said he was not aware if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash. It will take several weeks to receive results of blood alcohol content tests.
White County deputies also will review the findings of an Indiana State Police accident reconstruction team that investigated the crash.
