Fire destroys rural Walton home

WALTON — A representative of the state fire marshal's office was on the scene this morning of a fire that destroyed a rural Walton home Tuesday night.

The fire at 2622 E. 350 South was called in to the New Waverly Fire Department at 7:37 p.m. There were no residents home at the time of thfire and no one was injured.

Randy Barber and his son, Randell, said they heard about the fire from a neighbor and arrived home to find firefighters fighting the

blaze. The New Waverly, Clymers and Walton fire departments responded to the fire.

The representative from the state fire marshal's office said this morning he had just begun his investigation and might have more information on the cause yet today.
