Police blotter: March 4, 2014



4:31 p.m. Crash. 3400 block of East Market Street. A vehicle driven by Phyllis Cooksey, 74, Logansport, ran into the back of a vehicle driven by Paula McDougle, 55, Galveston. Logansport Police Department.


12:02 p.m. — Crash. Montgomery and Dewey streets. A vehicle driven by Steven M. Hunt, 53, Logansport, backed into a parked vehicle. LPD.

12:16 p.m. — Arrest. James Troy Doan, 49, Logansport, was arrested on charges of residential entry, battery and an out-of-county warrant. LPD.

1:02 p.m. — Crash. Cicott Street and Ind. 25. A U-Haul driven by Joseph Noakes, 38, Lafayette, struck a train tussle. LPD.


1:37 a.m. — Arrest. Alisha Rene Smith, 24, Kokomo, was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated .08 to .14. Cass County Sheriff's Department.

5:55 a.m. — Criminal mischief. 800 block of Bates Street. Complainant reported a windshield being broken in the night. LPD.

9:11 a.m. — Crash. Fourth and High streets. A vehicle driven by Karina Vega, 24, Logansport, wrecked into a fire hydrant. LPD.

9:44 a.m. — Arrest. Nickolas J. Dicks, 29, Mineral Wells, Texas, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. CCSD.

2:03 p.m. — Crash. Clinton Street and Burlington Avenue. A vehicle driven by Steven Wright, 61, Frankfort, struck a vehicle driven by John Boehme, 62, Logansport. LPD.

2:10 p.m. — Arrest. Marti Sue Banic, 38, Rochester, was arrested on a charge of theft, D felony. LPD.


12:59 p.m. — Arrest. Edward Van Rogers, 50, Logansport, was arrested on a charge of domestic battery. CCSD.



5:32 a.m. — Assist medics. 3042 N. 450 East. Cass County Fire District/New Waverly Fire Department.

10:01 p.m. — Assist medics. 2003 Chiefton Row. CCFD/NWFD.


10:07 a.m. — First responder call. U.S. 24 west of 800 East. NWFD.

3:04 p.m. — First responder call. 67 Eberts Road. Logansport Fire Department.

11:14 a.m. — Assisted medics. U.S. 24 and 500 West. CCFD/NWFD.

3:15 p.m. — First responder call. 1414 12th St. LFD.

8 p.m. — First responder call. 824 Wabash Ave. LFD.


7:14 a.m. — Assist medics. 112 Lux St. LFD.
