A Logansport woman won the $300 grand prize at the recent Christmas Open House sponsored by Logan’s Landing.
Teena Baker was awarded the prize in Logan’s Landing Bucks, which can be spent at any of the 20 businesses participating in this year’s event.
In addition, five children who visited Santa at the Depot during the open house were awarded $10 each in Logan’s Landing Bucks. They are Braiden Allen, Michael Jose Lorenzo Jr., Elsie Reed, Eloise Rowbury and Katy Williamson.
“We want to thank everybody who braved the cold to come downtown and participate in this annual event,” Michelle Laird, the event chair, said in a news release. “It was a fun atmosphere, with carolers, Santa and lots of Christmas shopping opportunities!"
Becki Harris, Logan’s Landing’s executive director, also offered thanks to the Logansport High School Swing Choir and Berryettes.
“We were also delighted to have Springcreek Landscaping selling trees and greenery in the Farmers Market lot during the event,” she said in a news release. “Especially during these tough economic times, we encourage everyone to support their local businesses by doing their Christmas shopping right here at home!”
