Network to stage Part D event

— Medicare Rx Access Network will stage a free Medicare Part D enrollment event this week at the Cass County Senior Center.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday in the center at 115 S. Sixth St. in Logansport.
Beneficiaries take the following information:
• Red, white and blue Medicare card
• Name of current plan
• A list of the names and dosages of your current prescriptions, including the full name, milligrams of each drug and the number needed each month
• Local pharmacy information
Beyond this event, beneficiaries and their family members with enrollment and coverage questions can get assistance through a number of local, state and federal resources. Help is available by calling (800) 252-9240 to connect with local Area Agencies on Aging, (800) 452-4800 to reach the Indiana State Health Insurance Assistance Program or (800) 633-4327 for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. The open enrollment period runs through Dec. 31.
