Benefit slated to help woman’s recovery

DELPHI — Two Carroll County churches are planning a benefit for the family of Cindy Gottschalk.

The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. Nov. 29 in the Delphi High School Little Theater. Performing will be The Overtones, Malachi, Scott Greshan and Maryanna Selvedge.

Complications from thyroid surgery have left Gottschalk hospitalized multiple times since February for a total of about 12 weeks. Medications and supplies have overwhelmed the family budget.

To help with expenses, Cindy’s son-in-law, Malachi Jaggers, had the idea for the benefit, which will be sponsored by Camden and Delphi United Methodist churches.

Cindy’s husband, Dan is the pastor at Camden United Methodist Church.

Donations will be accepted and all proceeds will go to Cindy.

For information, call Camden UMC at (574) 686-3789 or Delphi UMC at (765) 564-3791.
