One of Pulaski County’s Top 10 most wanted remains in jail without bond after authorities apprehended him last week.
On Sept. 10, Pulaski County deputies responded to an anonymous tip from an area resident regarding the whereabouts of a fugitive. As the officers arrived at the Medaryville American Legion at about 9:57 p.m., Brian Johns was attempting to exit.
When Johns became aware of the deputies, a short foot pursuit ensued, according to a press release. Johns was apprehended and taken into custody without further incident.
Johns was arrested on three outstanding Pulaski County warrants and four additional charges.
The warrants were for failure to appear for a jury trial on domestic battery and resisting law enforcement, failure to return to lawful detention and failure to report for a sentence of escape.
The new charges include resisting law enforcement, invasion of privacy, possession of marijuana and reckless possession of paraphernalia.
Johns was taken to the Pulaski County Jail, where he was held without bond.
