Logansport auctioneer wins $1 million

INDIANAPOLIS — Larry Isaacs and his family drove from Logansport to Hoosier Lottery headquarters Monday morning thinking he might have won $400,000 on Powerball Power Play.

It was only while they were on their way that his stepfather checked the Power Play number.

“He told me, ‘I think you might have won $1 million,’” Isaacs said in a news release issued by the Hoosier Lottery.

When they arrived at lottery headquarters, Isaacs, the owner of Isaacs Auctions and Pacesetters Real Estate, gave his ticket to lottery associates who confirmed that he had indeed won $1 million.

His stepfather, who buys the tickets every week, bought the ticket from Marsh Supermarket at 315 14th St. in Logansport.

“I plan to pay bills and make my mom and stepdad’s life easier than it ever has been in their lives,” Isaacs said in the news release.

He said he also planned to enjoy being out of debt.
