Carousel lists holiday hours

Hours have been announced for the Dentzel Carousel at Riverside Park for the Fourth of July.

The carousel will be running from 1 to 5 p.m. today.

Art association planning camp

The Logansport Art Association is holding “Art Camp: A Symphony of Art” July 21-25 at 424 Front St.

The camp is from 10 a.m. to noon for children ages 3 through 8 and from 1 to 3 p.m. for children ages 9 through 13.

The cost is $8 a day or $40 for the week.

Activities include Monday, clay; Tuesday, drawing; Wednesday, painting; Thursday, printmaking; and Friday, collage.

New tournament planned for fair

A rock, paper, scissors tournament is planned from 5 to 9 p.m. July 14-19 in Merchants Building 2 at the Cass County 4-H Fair.

The tournament will take place all week with a playoff scheduled for Saturday.

All money collected will go to Riley Hospital for Children.

Prizes include a Wii for first place, an iPod for second place and a digital camera for third.

Cookout, Karaoke set at local park

The France Park Camping Club is hosting a hamburger and hot dog cookout from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday at the main pavilion of France Park. It will be followed by Karaoke from 7 to 10 p.m.

Also being sold at the cookout are chips, cold drinks and tickets for a 50/50 drawing. Cost is $1 per ticket or six for $5.

The drawing will be held at 10 p.m. after Karaoke is over.

All proceeds will go toward park improvements.

Food, music set for park

FULTON — The Liberty Township Park Board is sponsoring a coney dog or pork burger dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. July 12 at the Liberty Township Park in Fulton.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children ages 6 through 12, and $2 for children 6 and under.

A concert by Water In2 Wine will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Attendees should take a lawn chair.

Donations will be accepted and all proceeds will go toward future concerts and park improvements.
