Show features horse and tractor pulls, music

ROCHESTER — The Fulton County Historical Power Show this weekend will feature horse pulls, garden tractor pulls and antique tractor pulls.
Located on the Fulton County Historical Society grounds four miles north of Rochester on U.S. 31, the show hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday or whenever the tractor pull ends. Admission is $5 for adults (age 12 and over), free for children age 11 and under. Weekend passes are available for $10 per person. Free parking and tram rides and golf cart rental available on grounds. The grounds are handicapped accessible.
Different types of pulls will include team tractor pull at 1 p.m. on Friday and light and heavy weight antique tractor pull at 5 p.m. Friday, followed by bluegrass music.
Saturday’s events will start with a Powder Puff pull at 1 p.m. followed at 7 p.m. by the 50/50 pull, which means both tractor and drive have to be 50 years and older.
On Sunday, there will be a Northern Indiana Pullers Garden Tractor pull starting at 1 p.m.
A variety of other activities will also be happening during the festival including sawmill demonstrations with custom cutting available, powered by five steam engines. Field demonstrations will include baling, corn sheller, threshing and baker fan.
There will be a daily parade at 11 a.m., along with food vendors, flea market, craft vendors and swap parts vendors daily. A toy show of antique and modern toys, farm-related to NASCAR will be set up in the museum from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. The museum, Round Barn Museum and Living History Village will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
