Police charge teenager in theft

FROM STAFF REPORTS

Logansport police arrested a second person in the case of two wedding rings stolen from a Logansport residence.

On Thursday, police charged the victim’s 15-year-old stepdaughter with stealing the rings and giving them to 25-year-old Justina Dawn Farmer, who pawned them for $50.

Police went to the pawn shop where they found the rings, along with a receipt that contained Farmer’s thumb print and personal information, according to police.

Farmer, who appeared in court Friday, is charged with receiving stolen property and theft, both class D felonies. Her bond was set at $1,000 cash/$5,000 surety.

The stepdaughter faces a charge of theft.
