— Meet legislators for Third House Saturday
The Logansport/Cass County Chamber of Commerce will host the final Third House Session in Cass County Saturday for the 2009 legislative session.
Beginning at 8 a.m. and ending at 9 a.m. at West Side Diner, state Reps. Rich McClain and Douglas Gutwein and state Sen. Randy Head will be on hand to discuss what transpired throughout this year’s legislative session.
The chamber is providing this opportunity for residents of Logansport and Cass County to have one-on-one time with their legislators.

VFW will host fish fry on Friday
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3790 will host a fish fry from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Post Home, 1023 Erie Ave. in Logansport.
The cost is $7 for all-you-can-eat whitefish and ocean perch. Non-members are welcome.
Safety seminars set in Pulaski County
Pulaski County Human Services is conducting community workshop titled “Safety in the Home” in May.
The first is noon to 1 p.m. May 19 at the Von Tobel Center, 115 W. Pearl St. in Winamac, with the second seminar noon to 1 p.m. May 21 at West Side Center, 125 S. Railroad St. in Medaryville.
Learn about good health education, diagnosis, prevention and treatment.
The presentation will be by Nicole Rowe, who will share tips and ideas to maintain safety in the home and simple safe techniques.
Community Workshops are funded by Title III Older Americans Act and sponsored by Northwest Indiana Community Action Agency. Arrowhead Country Public Transit will be available.
Those who would like lunch need to RSVP before noon May 18.
