Body found in river

Man identified as Medaryville resident

WINAMAC — The body of a Medaryville man was found in the Tippecanoe River on Sunday.

The Pulaski County Coroner’s Office was called to the river just west of 159 South Old State Road 14 by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department At 2:40 p.m. Sunday. Officers escorted Coroner Jerry Kisela to the body’s location near the west bank of the river.

The coroner’s office was assisted in the retrieval of the body by Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, Winamac Fire Department and Winamac EMS.

The body was positively identified by relatives as 26-year-old Jeremiah R. Robbins of Medaryville.

Manner of death and additional autopsy results are pending.
