Benefit soup supper slated in Wolcott
WOLCOTT — Several Masonic Lodges from Cass, White, Pulaski and Jasper counties will host an all-you-can-eat benefit soup supper from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Wolcott Community Center.
There will be a variety of soups available plus live music.
The cost for adults is $7, and children ages 12 and under eat for free. Drinks and dessert are included.
All proceeds will go to the Twin Lakes Special Needs Kids.
Boosters serving chicken dinner
ROYAL CENTER — The Pioneer Athletic Boosters will be holding a port-a-pit chicken fundraiser from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the high school cafeteria.
The meal will consist of a half chicken, chips and cookie for $6 or chicken only for $5. Carry-out will be available.
Tickets may be purchased at the door.
Auditions set for Junior Civic
Auditions are being held for “Murder at the Banquet,” which is a dinner mystery being presented by the Logansport Junior Civic Theater Inc.
Auditions will be at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 23 and 24 in the community room at the Logansport Mall. Students in seventh through 12th grades will be cast in the production.
Production dates are April 4-5.
Heart workshop set in Medaryville
MEDARYVILLE — Pulaski County Human Services Inc. is presenting a community workshop on “I Love My Healthy Heart” from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at West Side Center, 125 S. Railroad St. in Medaryville.
Learn about good health education, diagnosis, prevention and treatment presented by Ronda Kletz, health education coordinator at Pulaski Memorial Hospital.
She will discuss understanding the symptoms and warning signs of heart disease and provide information on maintaining good health. Arrowhead Country Public Transit is available.

Boosters offer chicken, ribs
WALTON — A Nelson’s Port-A-Pit chicken or rib dinner is planned from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 26 for alumni night in the Lewis Cass High School Cafeteria.
The cost is $8 per person, and the event will be held before the Lewis Cass vs. Maconaquah basketball game.
This fundraiser is being sponsored by the Lewis Cass Athletic and Band Boosters.
Area wildlife center seeks volunteers
DELPHI — The Wildcat Wildlife Center in Delphi is looking for volunteers that are 16 or older to help with animal care, baby feeding, maintenance, secretarial, data entry and phone calls.

Upward preparing for new season
The 2009 Upward flag football season will soon be kicked off.
There will be a coach and referee meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Church of Christ at Logansport, 2347 Burlington Ave. Refreshments will be provided.
