18th Street meeting postponed

Because of the weather, a public meeting to discuss the planning process for the 18th Street Corridor has been postponed until Feb. 17.

Registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. in McHale Complex at Riverside Park with opening comments beginning promptly at 6 p.m.

Since the kick-off meeting, the city has been analyzing the corridor and developing concepts for transportation improvements along 18th Street. These concepts include, but aren’t limited to, intersection improvements, railroad grade separation, streetscaping and potential gateway locations.

The planning area begins at U.S. 24/35 and ends at Broadway. The planning process is set for completion by summer.

For more information on the project, call Mayor Mike Fincher at 574-753-2551.
