---- — Thankful to communityfor its care, prayers

Thank you to Kyle Rans, Harrison-Metzger-Rans, Guardian Angels Hospice, Royal Center first responders and ambulance drivers for the gentle care and comforting words extended to our family.

Thank you to the community of Royal Center, friends and family for the memorials to Crooked Creek Christian Church and Guardian Angels Hospice, for the food, cards, prayers and kind words.

Your thoughtfulness has been overwhelming and so much appreciated.

The family of Fred Kennell

Sponsors can help makea difference in cancer fight

How many of our lives have not been touched by cancer? Every day people suffer or watch loved ones suffer from this terrible disease. It makes us feel helpless, but there is something we can do. The Cass and Fulton Extension Homemakers are hosting a 5K Run and Fun Walk on Saturday, May 17, at the River Bluff Trail in Logansport. We are raising money to benefit the Purdue Cancer Research Endowment Fund. Money in the endowment fund will continue to grow so research can continue for years to come. We hope and pray a cure may be found for this disease – perhaps the research at Purdue will find the answer.

If you would like to be a part of this search for a cure, join us as a sponsor or a participant of the 5K Run and Fun Walk. To print a registration form visit the Cass County Extension website at www.ag.purdue.edu/counties/cass. Forms are also available at the Cass County Family Y. For more information call 574-739-1280. Your involvement is greatly appreciated.
