Hello, I am a retired co-worker of Randy Rozzi, a candidate for the coroner’s office of Cass County. I would like to state that for many years I worked side by side with Randy while he was an investigator for the Logansport Police Department and subsequently as chief of police. I can truly state that Randy was a dedicated law enforcement investigator.
A few things I would like to point out is that every coroner needs to be compassionate in dealing with families following a death; however, first and foremost they must determine through an appropriate, thorough investigation the cause of death while upholding the law. Some deaths are cut and dried; however, many are not. Second, the coroner must maintain a good working relationship with law enforcement agencies throughout Cass County.
A great coroner must have the compassion of a counselor without overstepping his boundaries; he must have the expertise of an investigative detective and the organizational skills of a leader, who, in the event of a complicated tragedy or multiple fatalities, would be able to orchestrate an effective response as well as the fairness of a judge when it comes to the truth and what is right regardless of the circumstances of the death or who is involved. Randy Rozzi is all of the above!
Randy Rozzi is the right candidate for the coroner’s office of Cass County. Please exercise your right to vote on Nov. 6.
