Council shouldn’t jeopardize lives

After reading in the Pharos-Tribune about the possible closing of two of our fire stations and the laying off of several firemen, we wondered if city officials really know what they’re doing.

Everyone knows times are tough, but do we want to put the lives of the firemen and the public in danger?

The mayor says he wants to bring new industry to Logansport. Who would want to come here without adequate fire protection?

Anyone concerned about this needs to contact our city councilmen and go to the city council meeting at 5 p.m. on July 6.

Thanks for help with celebration

We would like to thank our precious children and grandchildren for our very special day as we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. Thanks also to all our wonderful family and friends who attended to help us celebrate and thanks for all the cards and gifts we received. It was a blessed and wonderful day. We love you all.
