In their own words

Editor’s note: The Pharos-Tribune poses a question to a group of youngsters each week to get their take on a topic. We hope you enjoy their responses as much as we do. We polled children in first grade at Pioneer Elementary and asked the following question:

What would you like to be when you grow up?

“Be a veterinarian because I want to help people get their animals better.”

– Macee Weisenburger, 7

“Be a football player for the Colts. Quarterback.”

– Brian Powell, 7

“Be a teacher because I love to teach my brother at home.”

– Kendra Personett, 6

“Be a fireman. I want to save people’s lives and put out fires and stuff.”

– Jacob Brown, 6

“I want to be an ice skater. I like how they twirl up in the air.”

– Kelsey McBride, 7

“A singer is what I want to be. I like Hannah Montana.”

– Macie Moon, 7

“Be a cowboy because you get to rope up bulls.”

– Derek Wireman, 6

“I want to be a singer because I want to be like Hannah Montana.”

– Hanna Ohrt, 6
