NEEDS A FRIEND: The Cass County Animal Shelter pet of the week is Porkchop. Porkchop is a year old, and she has been both spayed and microchipped. She would prefer to be the only animal in a house with older children. To find out more about Porkchop or another pet, visit the animal shelter at 1255 N. State Road 17 or call (574) 739-1179. The hours are 8 a.m.-noon and 2-5 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m.-noon on Saturdays. The shelter is closed on Sundays.P-T photo | Angi Turnpaugh/(Click for larger image)
OUTSIDE DOG: The Cause for Paws pet of the week is Hobo, a young adult neutered male mix. He’s up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. Hobo has an ultra-nice personality and temperament. He seems fine with other dogs and does well with children. Hobo is currently an outside dog, and would be fine to remain that way, provided there is adequate shelter to keep him dry and safe. Hobo can be seen at the Cause for Paws adoption center in the Logansport Mall. The center is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays.Photo provided/(Click for larger image)
