In their own words

by Melissa Soria
Pharos-Tribune staff writer

Editor’s note: Pharos-Tribune lifestyle writer Melissa Soria poses a question to a group of youngsters each week to get their take on a topic. We hope you enjoy their responses as much as we do. We polled children at New Beginnings Day School in Logansport and asked the following question:

What do you do in the summer to stay cool?

Go outside and sit in the sun.

-Evan Nelson

Going swimming ‘cause you get to where goggles in the water. You can see what’s under the water in the lake.

-Damon McGuire

Jumping through the sprinkler.

-Cameron Booth

Eating ice cream. My favorite flavor is Red Indian. It tastes like cinnamon.

-Sidney Myers

Go inside.

-Dustin Sparks

Help my dad work in the yard.

-Kaleb Lewellen
