— Editor’s note: Pharos-Tribune lifestyle writer Melissa Soria poses a question to a group of youngsters each week to get their take on a topic. We hope you enjoy their responses as much as we do. We polled children at Sonshine Express Daycare Ministry in Logansport and asked the following question:

What is your favorite type of firework?

The little snakes and cars. You put a little light on the car and they drive all around and then they shoot up and blow up.

That would be the firecracker. It goes up in the air and makes a big noise, and it’s yellow and all colorful.

I like the pop fireworks: The ones you throw on the ground.

Smoke bombs: You just throw it on the ground and it just smokes.

I like the fireworks that we make. You have to have a stick and you have to light it up and it goes up to the sky and makes a ‘boom’ sound. It has fire on top.
