In their own words

by Melissa Soria
Pharos-Tribune staff writer

Editor’s note: Pharos-Tribune lifestyle writer Melissa Soria poses a question to a group of youngsters each week to get their take on a topic. We hope you enjoy their responses as much as we do. We polled children in Teresa Bender’s first-grade class at Fairview Elementary School in Logansport and asked the following question:

What is the best thing about your mother?

When my brother had his birthday party, she played with me while Zach played with his friends.

-Brian Cole

She’s pretty and she’s sweet and she takes care of my brother and sister when they’re sick.

-Samantha Riley

She lets me play my PlayStation and makes me macaroni and cheese.

-Alex Guadian

She helps us know when to go to bed.

-Delilah Ryan

She’s beautiful.

-Uriah Riemenschneider

She helps me clean my room and doesn’t let me go on the street by myself.

-Isabel Madrigal
