FRIENDS WANTED: The Cass County Animal Shelter pet of the week is Lock, a Catahoula leopard dog. He is 3 years old and house-trained. He enjoys being around people and other animals and going for long walks. Lock needs room to exercise and would do best in a home with a big yard. To find out more about Lock or any other pet, visit the animal shelter at 1255 N. State Road 17 or call (574) 739-1179.
LOVES PEOPLE: The Cause for Paws pet of the week is Mutton, a 12-week-old neutered male mix. Mutton has his first set of shots, including rabies, and has also been wormed and is on monthly heartworm prevention. Like most pups, he loves being with people. He can be shy at first, but quickly warms up. He responds well to a firm voice for corrections. He is also paper trained. A Cause For Paws will have its pets at a yard sale starting at 8 a.m. Saturday in Spencer Park. In the case of rain, the sale will be postponed and the animals will be moved back to the adoption center at the Logansport Mall.
