Discount museum admission marks anniversary
BUNKER HILL — The Grissom Air Museum will be celebrating the 175th birthday of the city of Logansport from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Logansport residents will be admitted into the museum for a discount fee of $1.75.
Each paid admission will receive a ticket to a drawing that will be held at 3 p.m. Winners will receive prizes from Cass County area merchants. Refreshments will be served from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Hall of Honor. The museum will also be a collection site for non-perishable food items that will be donated to the food pantries in Cass County.
The museum is located at 1000 W. Hoosier Blvd, Peru.
Urban art experience comes to Logansport
Light Bulb, an urban art experience, will offer slam poetry, performance art, visual art, dance and various other art forms.
Held at 7 p.m. today at Boondockers, 1 Eel River Ave., there will be a $5 cover, food and a cash bar. All money raised will go toward placing a bike rack in downtown Logansport.
There will also be music, merchandise and jewelry, as well as a blank canvas and paper available for those attending should they feel inspired. The goal is for people to be engaged with the art and artists.
