Area music students compete in Michigan City

The piano students of Robbin Mix participated in the Indiana Federation of Music Teachers competition in Michigan City on May 17.

Twenty-nine first place, superior ratings were awarded in the categories of Hymn Playing, American Patriotic and Folk, Duet Playing, Trio Playing, Lynn Freeman Olson Solo and Musicianship/Theory events.

Receiving first place certificates and ribbons were:

Hymn Playing: Amy Fields, Alexi Neumann, Kassie Neumann, Landon Neumann, Sasha Neumann, John Schafer and Seth Tocco.

American Patriotic and Folk: Alexi Neumann, Landon Neumann, Sasha Neumann, John Schafer, Ethan Snyder and Seth Tocco.

Duet Playing: Jamie Musselman, Alexi Neumann, Kassie Neumann and Landon Neumann.

Trio Playing: Jamie Musselman, Alexi Neumann and Kassie Neumann.

Lynn Freeman Olson Solo: Kassie Neumann, Sasha Neumann and Seth Tocco.

Musicianship/Theory: Amy Fields, Emily Fields, Jamie Musselman, Kassie Neumann, John Schafer and Ethan Snyder.
