An event you shouldn’t miss

— Coming up this weekend in downtown Logansport is an event you won’t want to miss.

The seventh annual Taste of Cass County kicks off at 5 p.m. Saturday with a new location and a new finale.

Twelve vendors from around the city will set up booths at Fourth and Market streets Saturday afternoon to offer tastes of their menus and drink items. This year’s restaurants range from barbecue samplings offered by Bubba’s Smoke Shack to desserts from the Panaderia/Country Bakery.

This year’s event also brings live entertainment, face-painting, free golf cart tours of the Little Turtle Waterway and, for the first time, an evening balloon launch.

Logan's Landing uses the funds raised by this event to support its efforts in downtown revitalization, so you’ll not only be having a great time, you’ll be supporting a great cause.

The weather forecast calls for a cool evening, with a high Saturday of 77 degrees.

So take some time to come downtown, spend a few dollars and enjoy the food and the entertainment.
