Community happenings: Arts league cancels events

Akron Area Arts League cancels events

AKRON — The Writer's group that meets the second Thursday of the month will not meet today but will resume from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 9 in the Akron Library.

The Third Friday Jammers will not meet Dec. 20, but will start its seventh year of acoustic music at 7 p.m. Jan. 17 in the Akron Community Center.

The Photography Group will not meet the third Tuesday, Dec. 17, but will gather at 7 p.m. Jan. 21 in the Community Presbyterian Church, 530 Jefferson Street, Rochester.

Library to close for holidays

The Logansport-Cass County Public Library will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24, and Wednesday, Dec. 25, so that the library employees can celebrate the Christmas season with their families. The library will also close at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31, and all day on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, for New Year’s Day.
