Student concerts in the works

---- — Several local choirs will be putting on concerts as the holiday approaches.

The music starts today, with the Lincoln and Columbia middle school bands and choirs presenting their annual Winter Concert in McHale Performing Arts Center.

The show will be broke into two segments. The band will perform at 6:30 p.m. and the choir will follow at 7:30 p.m. There will be a brief intermission between the two programs.

Admission to one or both performances is free and all are invited to attend. All music students at the middle school level in the Logansport Schools will perform on this program.

Performing Arts concert

The Logansport High School Performing Arts Department will present its annual Holiday Concert at 7 p.m. Thursday in the McHale Performing Arts Center.

Performing will be the Concert Choir, the Swing Choir and the Combined Choir, as well as the Symphonic Band and Jazz Band. Admission to the program will be $3 for adults and $2 for students, with tickets on sale at the door only.

Winter concert

The Logansport Children’s Choir will present its 26th annual Winter Concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 17 in McHale Performing Arts Center. The Concert Choir, the Chamber Choir and the Combined Choir will all perform.

Along with the choir pieces being presented, highlights will include the annual Carol Sing, and the playing of a highlight video from the choir’s recent tour to Hawaii. Admission will be $5 for adults and $3 for students, with tickets available at the McHale box office or at the door.
