Chip and seal starting today

The Cass County Highway Department will begin a second round of chip-seal application today.

Crews will begin in the northwest corner of the county and work around the county in a counter-clockwise manner to complete the work on approximately 20 miles of roadway. The work is expected to take one to two weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Drivers may encounter brief delays during the chip-seal process, and should be alert for loose stone in the days following the chip seal application.
