Red Cross schedules blood drives

The American Red Cross will have several upcoming blood donation opportunities:

CARROLL COUNTY

1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Burlington Community Park, East Fifth St. in Burlington

CASS COUNTY

3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday at the Elks Lodge 66, 1100 N, Third St. in Logansport

Noon until 5 p.m. Tuesday at the VFW Post 3790, 1023 Erie Ave. in Logansport

FULTON COUNTY

1 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday at the Akron United Methodist Church, 121 N. Mishawaka in Akron

MIAMI COUNTY

9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday at Main Street United Methodist Church, 81 W. Main St. in Peru

WHITE COUNTY

3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday at Idaville First Church of God, 11073 E. 50 North in Idaville

10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Thursday at Zion Bethel Family Center, 415 S. Third St. in Monticello

HOW TO DONATE

Call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org to make an appointment or for more information.

All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in.

Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental consent in some states), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
