A Logansport man who used his talents in rap and hip-hop music to speak out against bullying is being remembered at a benefit show this weekend after drowning in a Wabash County reservoir on May 31.
The Associated Press reported that Adron Robinson, 32, Logansport, died while swimming in Mississinewa Reservoir.
The U.S. Army veteran is survived by five children. Known by his stage name of A1 da Last Drop, Robinson was signed with Kokomo-based NuORder ENTertainmENT and participated in tours that spoke out against bullying and paid tribute to the U.S. military.
Oliver Jackson, owner of Trucker Bangin Ent. LLC, out of South Bend, which partners with NuORder, said Robinson was taking a break from performing in a Salute the Troops Tour, The Anti-Bullying and the Bully Basher Tour and a Midwest Radio Promo Tour to move from Logansport to Miami County when the accident occurred.
Services for Robinson will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Kroeger Funeral Home. A benefit concert for Robinson’s children will be at 9 p.m. Saturday at Carole’s Corner Pub, 1408 17th St., Logansport, with artists from across Indiana performing.
