County GOP chooses chairman

Republican Precinct Committeemen elected a new county chairman, Rich McClain, when they met April 14.

McClain had been a precinct committeeman for 18 years before serving as a State Representative for 18 years for the Logansport area. He stated he was happy to be back serving again with the precinct committeemen for the next three

Also elected was Nancy Heckard Rhodes, a lifetime resident of Cass County. Rhodes spoke of her father, Don Heckard, who was well known by all present, often called Mr. Republican, and hoped he would be glad to know that she was taking her first political position when she accepted the Vice Chair of the County Republican Party.

Both will serve with Destry Richey, Central Committee Secretary, and David Richey, Central Committee Treasurer.
