Lewis Cass play, garden fair, egg hunt fundraiser, downtown cleanup

FLORA — The Carroll County Garden Club is hosting its annual Carroll County Flower and Garden Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Merchants’ Building at the Flora Community Park. The fair is free and open to the public.

There will be door prizes, coffee and donuts, food, and vendors of items including annual and perennial plants, herbs, vegetable plants, hanging baskets, planters, birdhouses, trellises and garden art.

Lewis Cass to do ‘Once Upon a Mattress’

WALTON — Lewis Cass High School is performing Once Upon a Mattress at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the school’s auditorium. Tickets are $6 for adults and $5 for students.

Nighttime egg hunt supports boy’s family

Tri-Kappa is having a nighttime egg hunt to raise funds for the family of Kohle Wildrick, severely injured in a recent accident.

The event starts with check-in/bracelet sales at 7:30 p.m. and the hunt will start at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Cass County 4-H Fairgrounds, 2281 E. 125 North, Logansport.

There will be prizes and candy galore — but make sure to bring your flashlights. Ages 12 and up are welcome. Wristbands will be $5. Downtown cleanup set for May 3

Logan’s Landing is recruiting volunteers to help weed, trim, pick up litter, sweep and generally spruce up the downtown Logansport district from 9 a.m. to noon May 3. Volunteers may be individuals, families, teams from businesses, churches, clubs or other organizations. Volunteers are asked to bring their own yard work tools and gardening gloves with them.

Lions club hosts fish fry

LUCERNE — Lucerne Lions is having a fish fry from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 3 at the Lucerne Lions Hall on West Hill Street. There will be all-you-can-eat perch and slaw, bread, butter and beverages. It is $8.50 for adults, $4.50 for children ages 6 to 12 and children under 6 eat for free. Proceeds go to the charity works of the organization. Membership applications will be at the fry.
