Community happenings: Children's theater auditions, chicken-noodle dinner

---- — Evans to perform at Honeywell Center

WABASH — Award-winning country music songstress Sara Evans will perform at the Honeywell Center Feb. 7, 2014, with tickets going on sale at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Evans currently is touring in support of her album "Stronger," her first studio album in six years. The record follows a string of top-selling projects, including No Place That Far, Born to Fly, Restless, and Real Fine Place. Cheryl LuQuire will open for Evans.

Tickets are $34 for balcony seats, $48 for main floor seating and $75 for orchestra pit seating. Tickets may be purchased at the box office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, by calling 260-563-1102 or visiting www.honeywellcenter.org.

Auditions taking place for children's theater

Junior Civic Theater will have auditions for children in grades three through seven for a Children's Theater. The performance will consist of two short plays and be presented on Jan. 25.

Auditions will be held at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 2 and Dec. 3 in the Community Room at the Logansport Mall. For questions, call 574-355-0096.

Chicken-noodle supper slated Dec. 4

WALTON — Walton American Legion Post 418 will have its chicken-noodle supper from from 11 a.m. until the food is gone Dec. 4 at 111 S. Depot St., Walton. The menu includes chicken-noodles, mashed potatoes, meat loaf, stewed tomatoes, beets, green beans, dressing, gravy, salads, pie and other desserts. Cost depends on what you eat. Carry outs available. Public is welcome.
