Festival at the Canal with grand opening
DELPHI — Canal Days Festival is a two-day event beginning with a Fourth of July parade down Washington Street on the morning of July 5 and continuing through the weekend with period crafters in the Pioneer Village, food booths, music, entertainment, narrated Delphi canal boat rides, bicycle, special festival priced paddleboat and kayak rentals, and plenty of activity for the whole family.
This year’s Canal Days also marks an achievement at Canal Park, with a grand opening ceremony at noon Saturday of the 1913 iron truss Gray Bridge that now spans the canal. The bridge will connect Canal Park and canal trails to the new Gateway Trail currently under development. The Gateway Trail connects downtown Delphi to Canal Park.
