Logansport High School will have a Veteran's Day program at 1 p.m. Nov. 11 in the Berry Bowl. The featured speaker will be Melissa Bolinger, Logansport High School graduate and member of the National Guard.
The faculty, staff and students of Logansport High School is inviting all Cass County veterans to attend and be recognized for their unselfish service and devotion to our country.

BMV branches closing Saturday
INDIANAPOLIS — All Bureau of Motor Vehicles license branches will be closed Saturday through Nov. 11 in observance of the Veterans Day holiday, according to R. Scott Waddell, Commissioner of the Indiana BMV.
All license branches will resume normal business hours on Nov. 12, except for Monticello, which will reopen on Nov. 13.
Martin's offers free meals to veterans
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 11, any active, inactive or retired military veteran of any U.S. service branch is eligible to receive the free meal, available at any Martin’s Deli.
To receive an Honor Meal, a veteran, either retired, discharged or in active service in U.S. armed forces units or National Guard units will be asked to show his or her Military Identification Card at the checkout, and the meal will be free. No purchase is required, nor does a valid Martin’s Advantage Card need to be presented to take advantage of the offer. Holder of military ID Cards issued to dependents and spouses of active or retired service members are not eligible.
Pulaski Co. JA to benefit at bash
WINAMAC — A Hap's Chicken Bash will benefit Junior Achievement in Pulaski County from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Moose Lodge, 110 N. Franklin St., Winamac. Tickets are $8.50 for adults and $4 for kids. Tickets may be purchased at Alliance Bank (Francesville and Winamac locations), Key Bank, Kiwanis Club and Moose Lodge. Elks dinner to support cancer research
Logansport Elks Lodge 66 is hosting its annual Feather Party with turkey dinner from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 23. Tickets are $8 and the auction starts right after dinner. There will also be other fun and games. All proceeds go to Indiana Elks Cancer Research Charities.
