Community happenings: Road reopen, coloring contest

Coloring contest submissions may now be brought to the Pharos-Tribune offices, 517 E. Broadway, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, instead of Rudy's Critters.

200 South reopen

County Road 200 South between old Ind. 25 and 175 West is now open, according to a release from the Cass County Highway Department. The road surface over the new culvert will remain stone until asphalt can be applied.

'Talk' to nocturnal animals expert Tuesday

Facebook followers of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources can “talk” online about nocturnal animals with interpretive naturalist Angie Manuel from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday on the DNR’s Facebook wall.

Manuel will discuss wildlife that are active at night, fueling our imaginations during Halloween. Participants are invited to join the conversation and ask questions.

To join a chat, go to the DNR’s Facebook wall, facebook.com/INdnr, and click “like."

You may begin typing in questions during the time slot. The DNR experts will answer questions as time allows.

WoodBridge residents host 'Haunted Hallway'

WoodBridge Health Campus is hosting an event called Haunted Hallway from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The event is free and open to the public, and there will be lots of candy. WoodBridge is located at 602 WoodBridge Ave., Logansport.

Legion having chicken-noodle dinner

WALTON — Walton American Legion Post 418 is having a chicken-noodle dinner from 11 a.m. until the food is gone Nov. 6. Menu includes chicken-noodles, mashed potatoes, meat loaf, beets, stewed tomatoes, dressing, coffee, iced tea, salads, pie and other desserts. Carry-outs available; cost will depend on what is ordered.

UCT council having pitch-in dinner

Cass Council of United Commercial Travelers will have its monthly pitch-in at 6 p.m. Nov. 7 at Calvary Presbyterian. Members are asked to bring a covered dish and bingo prize.

Narcotics Anon meetings to start

ROYAL CENTER — The Royal Center UMC will host a Narcotics Anonymous meeting at 6 p.m. starting Nov. 7= and going every other Thursday evening at the administrative offices of the church, located at 100 Kramer St., Royal Center. For more information, call Jenny at 574-643-9300.
