Literacy group seeking volunteers
Literacy Volunteers of Cass County is in need for individuals (tutors) who are willing to give a minimum of an hour a week to help adults learn English.
Students of the Literacy Volunteers desire to become a useful part of our community, but find it difficult with limited knowledge of our language. LVCC currently has 16 tutors working with 28 students. LLVC provides you with training through a growing selection of textbooks in several areas and a tutor-mentoring program to provide you with support.
Those waiting for tutors want help in improving their reading skills, getting their GED, learning English or preparing to take the U.S. citizenship test.
For more information, contact Carolyn Killion at 574-753-5906 or 574-355-0986.
