Evening of fun will help Debbie Ross

There will be a benefit for Debbie Ross from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Moose Lodge. There will be live music from Stephan Ross and Jason McKeever.

More than 50 prizes will be raffled off including jewelry, Tastefully Simple and NASCAR items. The menu will include pulled pork, hot dog, two sides, chips and a bake sale. It will be $5 at the door and all proceeds go to Debbie Ross, who is battling Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Check out birds on the panhandle

The Panhandle Nature Committee is promoting “Birding on the Bridge” gathering from 7 to 8 a.m. Saturday. Many migratory birds stop along the Tippecanoe River as they travel through the area.

Bring your binoculars, cameras or bird books. Birds are along the trail most of the time.

Benefit to help Deven Lee

A benefit for Deven Lee will be from noon to midnight Saturday at BJ Wingers in Monticello. Entertainment will include open karaoke, Gordon Bonham Blues Band, Ezra, Clint Brandt, Mike Sanson and Company, WrongWay and Coyote Highway.

There will be a hog roast with sides. The BJ Winger Menu will also be available inside for purchase. A bake sale will also be available and putt putt will be available to play.

There will also be a live and silent auction. All the proceeds go to assist with incurring medical costs for Deven Lee, who is recovering from a traumatic brain injury due to a snowmobile accident in February.

Walk/run and balloon release set for April 19

ROYAL CENTER — Santana Conrad is hosting a 5K walk/run balloon release for cancer on Saturday, April 19. Registration starts at 8 a.m. with the walk/run starting at 9 a.m. at the Panhandle Pathway in Royal Center. Signs will be displayed for parking areas.
