Community happenings: Horse night, murder mystery, rummage sale

Walton Library hosts horse-themed night

WALTON — Local authors Eunice Rush and Marry Morrow will give a presentation and book signing of their book “Know You, Know Your Horse” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Walton-Tipton Township Public Library, 110 N. Main St. in Walton. The special event is designed for 4-H horse clubs, horse owners or horse lovers. For more information, call the library at 574-626-2234.

JCT presents murder mystery

The Logansport Junior Civic Theater is hosting a Murder Mystery Dessert Theater at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. April 6 at the Logansport Mall Community Room. They play will be “Murder’s in the Heir” and desserts will be served at intermission. Tickets are $7 at the door.

Lions club selling pies, cakes, noodles

ROYAL CENTER — Royal Center Lions are selling pies, noodles and angel food cakes. The group will be taking unders until April 11. The delicacies are made by a German Baptist bakery in Clinton County. Cost varies from $7.50 to $9.50. The goodies may be ordered from any Royal Center Lion member or by calling Dick Cottrell at 574-643-9914.

Pickup will be from 9 to 11 a.m. May 3 at the Royal Center Fire Station community room.

Ivy Tech hosting rummage sale

Student organizations at Ivy Tech Community College’s Logansport campus are sponsoring a rummage sale to raise funds to support the construction of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial in Kokomo.

The rummage sale is set for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday in the Community Room at the Logansport campus, 1 Ivy Tech Way.

    The ninth annual Taste of Cass County will start at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, in downtown Logansport, and features food, fun and entertainment. Admission is $2 per person, or $5 per family, and refreshment tickets are $1 each.

    Grissom Air Museum is having its eighth Annual Warbird Cruise-In Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show on Saturday in its 15-acre air park. Registration is from 8 a.m. to noon, doors open at 10 a.m. with lunch 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with awards at 3:30 p.m.
