Community happenings: Easter events, book sale, fish fry

---- — Wolf Park setting Easter party

BATTLE GROUND — Wolf Park’s 13th Annual Easter Party is from 1 to 5 p.m. April 12. There will be egg hunts for kids 1 to 13 years of age (bring a basket!), and there will also be an egg hunt for the Wolf Park wolves at 2 p.m. The Easter Bunny will hop into the wolf enclosure (the wolves will be elsewhere) and will hide Easter eggs for the wolves to find (after the Bunny leaves).

Guided tours of the Park will be offered at 1:15 p.m., 2:15 p.m., 3:15 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. followed by a handling demonstration at 4:30 p.m. Wolf Park closes at 5 p.m. and the gates re-open at 7 p.m. for Howl Night. Children 13 and under are free.

Easter Bunny moving downtown

Farmer Ed the Easter Bunny is hopping to a new location. This year Farmer Ed is moving from the Logansport Mall to Mike Andersons Auto Group’s downtown location, 417 S. Third St. He will be there from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturdays April 5, April 12 April 18 and 19, and from noon to 4 p.m. Sundays April 6 and April 13.

Riverside egg hunt coming up

The Logansport Parks Department’s annual Easter Egg Hunt with an Easter Bunny will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. April 12 at Riverside Park, for children ages 1 to 12. There will be picture time with the Easter Bunny and parents can bring their own camera. There will also be free carousel rides until 11 a.m., crafts and face-painting by the Berryettes. The Easter Egg Hunt will being at 11:15 a.m. and prizes will be given after the hunt.

Library book sale scheduled

The Logansport-Cass County Public Library is having a book sale in the meeting room. The sale is open to library card holders from 9 a.m. to noon, and to everyone from noon to 5:45 p.m. April 26, and from noon to 5:45 p.m. April 27. For more information, call the library at 574-753-6383.

Church to host Dan’s Fish Fry

IDAVILLE — Idaville First Church of God is having a Dan’s Fish Fry from 4 to 7 p.m. May 3 and will be serving fish, chicken, fries, slaw, bread, drink and dessert. Tickets are $9 for adults and $5 for children ages 5 to 10.

Swimming pool to open June 3

Tower Park Municipal Swimming Pool will have its opening day from noon to 6 p.m. June 3.
