Community happenings: Coin show, alumni dinner, book fair

---- — Coin club hosting show Sunday

KOKOMO — The Logansport Coin Club is having its 11th annual Kokomo Coin & Collectible Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Kokomo/Ivy Tech Event Center, 1500 North U.S. 931 (old 31). Admission and parking are free. A number of dealers will be present to buy and sell collectible coins or related items. Drawings for door prizes will take place each hour.

The Logansport Coin Club meets at 7 p.m. the third Wednesday of each month at the Logansport-Cass County Library. The April meeting only will be moved to the third Monday.

Deer Creek alumni to meet, dine

CAMDEN — The 100th Deer Creek Alumni Association Banquet will begin at 5 p.m. with social hour and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. April 26 at the Deer Creek Community Building. The graduating classes of 1953 and 1954 will be honored. Reservations are required by March 31 — call Lois Wallace, secretary, at 574-859-2695, or Nancy Larimore, president, at 574-753-4494. All Washington Township, Carroll County, graduates are welcome to attend.

Book fair to support elementary school

GALVESTON — Galveston Elementary is having its spring book fair April 7-11. The hours are 8:30 to 11 a.m. and 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday in the library. There will also be a Family Night from 5:30 to 8 p.m. April 10.
